Cursed concrete 2010 imitation is the sincerest form of thievery

Please Don't Take This The Wrong Way butter, flour, sugar, egg, cream, baking powder, salt, vanilla, food coloring 2010 confections in the shape of an age-old symbol
the swastika is an ancient symbol that has been used throughout the world, across cultures and history to represent progress, power, luck and good fortune; its use can still be found in many eastern cultures. due to its shameful recent history and hateful associations, i decided not to continue this series.... please don't take this the wrong way.
[untitled] gelatin, paper 2010 pornography cast in gelatin
this test is part of my ongoing fascination with casting in gelatin. pornography seemed like the natural answer, but still leaves something to be desired. gelatin plastic is still an option to be considered [how to]... we've also tried a leg trap - not so rad.

Hard and Wet concrete, spray paint 2007/2010 a phallic fountain - an archetypal monument
i built this concrete monument in 2007 at the university of san diego, where it has lived in a garden since. i was recently asked to remove the work due to its graphic content. prior to its destruction, i decided to spray paint the work to accentuate its vulgarity. the accompanying video depicts its last act as a fountain - it was soon after 'castrated'.
